Corvo, Walker Out

According to the Washington Post, Scott Walker and Joe Corvo will not be offered contracts by the Washington Capitals this offseason. Both were acquired at the trade deadline this season, and while GM George McPhee expressed interest, there just isn’t enough money to go around for the veterans.

While Joe Corvo will be highly pursued as he has been many times post lockout, Scott Walker will probably have to take a pay cut from the $2.5 million he made last season. Looking for a destination for Corvo? Look no further than whichever team misses out on the Kaberle sweepstakes.
