KHL Update

With (former) NHL exiles Jiri Hudler, Nikolai Zherdev and Nikita Filatov all back in North America, and Jaromir Jagr’s downfall over the past few seasons, there isn’t that much that would catch a casual observers eye in the KHL this year. Oh, except Alexander Radulov, who already has 24 points in his first 13 games of the new season.

Uh oh Flyers’ fans. Ray Emery is now having season ending hip surgery. I guess there goes my prediction for them to win the Cup. I guess he wasn’t amazing for them anyway. Ohhh baby but I have a rumour that the Flyers are VERY interested in UFA Dan Hamhuis. There was talk of a deal like Coburn and Parent to Nashville for Hamhuis, but that seems like way too much for a UFA. What if the Flyers tacked on a pick and the Preds added Dan Ellis, who is likely now expendable with the signing of Pekka Rinne over the break.
