PK Back to Hamilton For Game 7

The Montreal Canadiens have sent down both PK Subban and Ben Maxwell; both are going to be available to play in Game 7 tomorrow night against the Texas Stars. In 14 playoff games for the Habs, Subban had one goal and seven assists. In the six games he played during the early stages of Hamilton’s playoff run, he had three goals and six assists.

Maybe he can help get some more fans to those games at Copps.

Game 4 Highlights

Here is why a lot of people think Claude Giroux has 90 point potential:

And how about Ville Leino, who now has 12 points in his last 12 games. He snuck behind Subban here and made the Montreal D look pretty bad. Beauty pass by Pronger too.

The Trip…

This play was frustrating to watch. PK Subban was clearly tripped at the blue line, which allowed Talbot to break in and tie the game. You can actually see Fedotenko grab his leg on the replay.

It was even more frustrating when the Pens tied it like two minutes later.

It’s even more frustrating knowing that if Pittsburgh makes their third straight Finals, the Crosby Show will be out in full force more than it ever has, but every one will fail to mention that they faced three teams who wouldn’t have been in the playoffs had the been in the West. Parity?

P.K. Subban Called Up

The second best name in hockey will be playing for the Montreal Canadiens tonight in Game 6. P.K. Subban has been called up from the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs and should be dressing in tonight’s game against Washington. In the six game series victory for Hamilton over Manitoba, Subban has three and six assists, leading the team in scoring.

The Bulldogs are going to be opening their second round series on Thursday against either Abbotsford or Rochester. I suspect they are praying for a Motnreal loss so they can get their stud back.
